Study finds that users of bite valve bottles drink more water

Ease of use and comfort pushes bite valve bottles to the top.

Over a two week period, a peer-reviewed study showed that individuals drank more volumes of water when using a bite valve bottle. The other water bottle types included in this study were wide-mouth, narrow-mouth stainless steel, and plastic disposable. The student research study was led by Holden MacRae, Ph.D., professor of sports medicine at Pepperdine University.

Additionally, for each type of water bottle, researchers used separate brands. Notably, the popular CamelBak brand represented the bite valve water bottles. Read more about this study at SNEWS – Outdoor Industry News
